Big Idea – Jesus is the powerful son of God
John 9 v1-12
Lesson Background
In John 8:12 Jesus declares, ‘I am the light of the word. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. The healing of the blind beggar in John 9, is the proof that this claim of Jesus is true. Jesus heals the blind man to prove that a) He is God and has the same power and authority as God, and b) He gives life/light to those who dead/darkness, but only to those who trust in him.
Outcomes
Belief – Children will understand that Jesus made the blind man see. If we follow Jesus then we can be friends with God forever.
