Big Idea – God’s kingdom is precious  

Matthew 13:44-46

Lesson Background

This unit of work looks at God Big Kingdom. What does life look like in the Kingdom of God now and in the new creation? How do we become part of this Kingdom of God? How do we live as members of Gods kingdom through faith in Jesus Christ and what does it mean for eternity? 

The Parable of the Mustard Seed & Yeast teaches us that there is nothing more precious or valuable in life than knowing God and being a part of his Kingdom. 

Outcomes

The children will understand what faith is, and be encouraged to follow Jesus because it’s the most precious thing they could ever have or do.  

Help them to think about the best and most precious thing they own/have, and then say – ‘God’s kingdom is even more precious than that!’
