If you want to see other resources for Behold the King

MatT 9:27-31

27 As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, calling out, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!”

28 When he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?”

“Yes, Lord,” they replied.

29 Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith let it be done to you”; 30 and their sight was restored. Jesus warned them sternly, “See that no one knows about this.” 31 But they went out and spread the news about him all over that region.

  1. What’s the significance of calling Jesus, the Son of David? What does this tell us about how  these men viewed Jesus?
  2. Given they had already demonstrated their faith, why do you think Jesus asks these men if they believe? What is the relationship between faith and receiving the benefits of the Kingdom?
  3. We are believers. We have faith! The benefits will be ours too – though we will have to wait for perfect healing and wholeness. In what ways can the perfection of the coming Kingdom spur us on in our struggles and help us to spur others on too?
