If you want to see other resources for Behold the King

matthew 8:1-4

1 When Jesus came down from the mountainside, large crowds followed him. A man with leprosy[a] came and knelt before him and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy. Then Jesus said to him, “See that you don’t tell anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”

  1. Look at how the man with leprosy approached Jesus. What can we learn from him about approaching Jesus in desperate times?
  2. Look at how Jesus responded to the man with leprosy. What does this show us about who Jesus is and the way he treats people in trouble?
  3. How would our own personal suffering and our care of others be transformed if we really grasped the depths of Jesus’ power and the beauty of his compassion?
