We are well used to having children involved in all that we do. They are an integral part of our Church family.
Across our three family congregations we expect about 200 children each week. With the thrill of a crowd and the care of trained leaders, we aim for the children to have the best hour of their week; teaching the Bible to children of all ages in a fun, relevant and engaging way.
We regularly welcome visitors of all ages, and appreciate parents’ input in helping us to settle their children. If you’re visiting, please come and introduce your children to one of our leaders before the service.
If you’re interested in getting your child baptised please get in touch through the contact us page.
Pre-school Aged Children
Crèche (0–2 years)
With a ratio of 1 adult to every 3 babies and toddlers, regularly cleaned toys and larger play equipment for toddlers, we strive to ensure that our youngest children enjoy their time with us. We have a play area with a live video link from the main hall, a nursing room with a video link and a quiet room for unsettled children.
Movers & Shakers (3 – nursery)
We have developed a program that offers our Pre-schoolers time to sing, play & rest as well as time to learn the very simplest truths of the Christian faith. Our leaders, a mixture of parents and committed helpers, are able to help our steady stream of visitors settle in quickly.
Primary School Aged Children
Our Sunday children’s work (Kids in the Warehouse) has developed a reputation for nurturing children in a fun environment. In partnership with parents, we teach the Bible to children of all ages in a fun, relevant and engaging way. Our leaders are well trained and hugely committed; build strong relationships with and serve as excellent role models for the children in their care. Older children enjoy being part of a large peer group each Sunday, while the younger children hugely appreciate the close attention of adults in their smaller classes.
Each term we have a number of Friday evening socials for Y4-6 find out more here
Secondary School Aged Children
Our youth work is split into two groups; Pathfinders (Y7-9) & CYFA (Y10-13).
Pathfinders get together every Sunday at the Factory during the 10.45am and 4pm meeting. We spend the time catching up, having fun together and hearing from God’s Word in a relevant and engaging way. This might be through group discussion, interactive short talks, activities or accessible Bible Studies.
CYFA meet at 6pm on Sundays to study the bible together and to ask and discuss questions. They then join the 7pm congregation to sing, pray and be a part of the Dundonald church family. We are done by around 8:15pm when there’s time to hang-out and chat.
