Term 3 – Week 09
Big Idea – Redemption – Sinners bought by God!
Exodus 6 & Ephesians 1
Outcomes
- To know that Redemption means sinners bought by God
- To understand that a price had to be paid for our redemption.
- To appreciate that the price Jesus paid was his life.
Implications
- Belief – Help the children understand that redemption is an act of God’s grace. We do not deserve it so we should give thanks.
- Behaviour – If we have been redeemed from the slavery of sin and bought by God, then we must live God’s way and not our own way. We are to live as followers of Jesus every day. Discuss with the kids some things they can do during the week, to show that they have been redeemed by the blood Jesus and as followers of him.
Memory Verse
1 John 4:10 (NIVUK)
This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
