We love partnering with people to help the gospel go out to the nations!  When considering who to partner with, we are especially mindful of the following 5 areas:

• Gospel / Word Ministry focus to their work
• Godly character of the Mission Partner
• Long Term work benefitting from long term partnership
• Real Relationship between Mission Partner and Dundonald Church
• Cross-cultural / least reached focus

Dundonald Mission Partners can expect to receive financial support, prayer support, relational support, and a church family that is passionately supportive of them and their ministry!

Meet our Mission Partners below – and if you would like to receive prayer letters and ministry updates directly from any of them, please email info@dundonald.org and we can facilitate this!

Mark & Mands Vernon, & SOW

Location:
The Gambia & London, UK

Role:
Bible Teaching & Administration through Servants of the Word

Dundonald Link Person:
Pete Teeuwen-Greene

What are they doing?
In The Gambia, Mark & Mands worked with the Servants of the Word (SOW) whose aim is to train a generation of faithful Bible teachers to serve the church in The Gambia, and throughout West Africa. Mark & Mands helped teach classes on various books of the Bible and also helped with finance and administration, labouring that faithful teachers of God’s Word might be trained up and sent out. Now back in the UK they continue assisting SOW remotely, and are passionate about mobilising others for mission.

Connection to Dundonald: Mark & Mands have been part of Dundonald Church since 1994, and set a wonderful example to our church family of wholehearted devotion to Christ by choosing to serve in The Gambia with Crosslinks from 2018 – 2020. It’s been great having them back in SW20 and their zeal to continue serving Dundonald and the global church!

Danielle Teeuwen-Greene

Location:
London,UK

Role:
Assistant Team Leader, London with UCCF: The Christian Unions

Dundonald Link Person:
Pete Teeuwen-Greene

What are they doing?
Danielle works alongside university Christian Unions equipping students to live and speak for Jesus on campus. She spends her time reading the bible with individuals, running training events, and resourcing students for evangelism, so that they might be bold in their personal and public witness. In her role as ATL in London, she helps shape and coordinate mission strategy across London, and supervises other UCCF Staff Workers too. Danielle’s prayer is that during the formative university years, Christian students would live out their faith and hold out the gospel to others, and that non-Christian students would have the opportunity to hear and respond to the good news of Jesus!

Connection to Dundonald: Danielle was posted to London in August 2016 to work with the Christian Unions at Roehampton, Kingston, and St George’s, and quickly settled at the evening service at Dundonald Church. She has been a loved member of our church family since then, participating fully in the life of the church – even marrying one of our Ministry Trainees in 2019!

Marije Nastu

Location:

Specialist Missionary for Schools, London City Mission

There are around two million children and young people in London, and around half of them don’t have a Christian friend. They will be unlikely to walk into a church but they all go to school… therefore, the school is the ideal place to connect with these youngsters! Marije works alongside churches to help them to see the different opportunities there are for reaching out to their local schools and provides training to equip them for school’s ministry. Marije also helps other LCM mission teams across the City to connect Churches with their local schools.

Connection to Dundonald: Marije has been a loved member of Dundonald church family since 2017. She attends the 10:45 congregation with her husband David and is always happy to chat after church over a coffee!

Rachel Chard

Location:
Oxford, UK

Role:
Staff Worker & Head of Hard-to-Reach, with Friends International

Dundonald Link Person:
Katy Bray

What are they doing?
In Rachel’s national role as Head of Hard-to-Reach, Rachel helps Friends International to think strategically and creatively about how they can reach out to international students with least access to the gospel. This includes travelling around the UK helping FI staff, local churches, and Christian Unions to identify who their ‘hard to reach’ students are, understand why they are hard to reach and consider what can be done about it. In her local role as a Staff Worker, Rachel works alongside others in Oxford to reach out to international students, partnering with local churches and with the two university CUs, supporting students who are already believers and providing seeker opportunities to the many who do not yet believe.

Connection to Dundonald: Richard alerted Dundonald that his sister (Rachel) and her husband (Andrew) were heading to Tanzania as pioneer church planters and we were delighted to support them from 1994-2008 as they served there with AIM International. Since returning to the UK we’ve continued supporting Rachel’s ministry, and she regularly makes herself available to assist our outreach to internationals in SW20.

Gospel Partnerships

At Dundonald we also have a number of Gospel Partnerships for people and projects that we want to generously support as we seek to ‘make disciples of all nations’. We welcome new requests for financial & prayer partnership, and currently support:

John Mangwiro – Johannesburg, South Africa

John is a Ministry Trainee at Hope Church Johannesburg, who long to train up and send out church planters. John gets to study part time at Johannesburg Bible College and his prayer is that his training will equip him to rightly handle God’s Word, teach him to preach faithfully and train him to lead in ministry areas and services.

Bheki Dikeni – Cape Town, South Africa

With the help of St Peters Church FishHoek, Bheki has started a church called uBabalo neThemba in a very poor community called Masiphumelele. They are holding out the hope of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and loving the community in every way they can.

Stephan Truter – Cape Town, South Africa– Cape Town, South Africa

Stephan has been sent by Ligpunt Church Pretoria, to train full-time at George Whitefield College (GWC) in Cape Town. Stephan says “My hope for my city and the rest of South Africa would be to see many more Bible-believing, Christ-centred communities being built up and established.  [At Ligpunt], we want to be part of a community that glorifies God by being disciples who make disciples and by being a church that plants churches.”

Donald & Becky Kamese – London & Mexico

Donald and Becky are training in Bible teaching at Cornhill as they prepare to return to Mexico where Donald is a senior leader of a growing church planting and discipleship network seeking to reach a extremely needy part of the country called ‘the circle of silence’ where gospel preaching is extremely rare and opposed.
