Term 1 – Week 6
Big Idea – God was leading and saving his people from the Egyptians
Exodus 14-15
Lesson Background
We have already seen God display his power to the Israelites by the plagues he sent to Egypt. Plagues of varying chaos and disaster, culminating in the most tragic of all, the death of the firstborn son. Israel were saved by the Passover Lamb, and now they have been given permission to go by Pharaoh. However, God would still provide one great deliverance. Pharaoh changed his mind and pursued the Israelites to the edge of the Red Sea. God once again showed his power to save his people, in spectacular fashion. When all hope was lost God saved his people.
