Richard Coekin // Senior Pastor

Richard is married to Sian and they have five grown-up children and a dog called Hudson. He is the Senior Pastor of Dundonald Church and CEO of Co-Mission Church planting initiative in London and has a Bible teaching ministry in parliament.

He is the author of several books most recently, Ephesians for You, The Reluctant Evangelist and Faith for Life. He is passionate about Jesus Christ, rugby, ski-ing, and the moment when Julia Roberts says “indefinitely” in the film Notting Hill (in that order).

Santhosh Thomas // Pastor

Santhosh is one of our pastors, with special responsibility for overseeing our small groups and various teaching and discipleship programmes. Born and raised in London, he has previously worked in churches in Oxford and Central London. He’s married to Jess and along with their three young children they enjoy sport, swings and meeting new people!

Richard Leadbeater // Pastor

‘Leady’ is married to Libby and they have three children and one rabbit! Leady is one of our pastors with particular responsibility for our ‘Train’ and ‘Evangelise’ ministries. After a short career in professional football, he studied theology at university, and got ordained in the Church of England. He has previously pastored and planted churches in Birmingham and Guildford. He enjoys sport, family holidays and pretending to know how to make a good coffee!

At Dundonald we long to see the life of our church expressed in seven prayerful ministries. These are summarised by the word WITNESS and each ministry plays a part in growing disciples of all nations for Jesus. We encourage everyone in our church family to be part of this work, through joining a team devoted to one of these ministries. Together we:

We WORSHIP our Lord Jesus Christ, responding to God’s mercy in everything we do, so that in our gatherings, at work and at home, we live joyful, sacrificial, and holy lives.

We INSTRUCT our congregations, so that believers of all ages are taught the Scriptures in ways they can understand, enabling them to trust, obey, and speak God’s Word to each other and to the world. Our goal is to see everyone fully mature in Christ.

We TRAIN our committed, with the intention that everyone is encouraged and enabled for team ministries that will build up the church. The Bible tells us that God gives leaders to his church, so we labour to see leaders recruited, equipped, and active in the work of growing disciples. As this happens, all our members are enabled for ministry.

We NETWORK our city, co-operating with Co-Mission network of churches, so that many and various gospel-centred churches are planted, strengthened, and growing in London. We network to become more effective and fruitful in reaching London for Jesus.

We EVANGELISE our community to reach people in Wimbledon, Raynes Park, and beyond, who don’t know Jesus. We hold out the better life offered by Jesus boldly and creatively, so people are contacted, coming, and converted by the gospel of God’s grace. We think of our ministry as a lifeboat for rescuing the lost and for providing first aid to those already in the boat.

We SERVE our crowd, so that those who attend our church are connected into our church family, belonging (within a congregation and a small group), and joining in (contributing with their gifts and ministries). We aim to serve others together.

We SUPPORT our cause. We partner with God’s people globally so that gospel ministries to all nations are promoted, resourced, and multiplied. Though we play only a small part, we are thrilled to partner in the work of growing God’s global kingdom.

We long to see women in our church family and beyond coming to Christ and growing to maturity. Dundonald has a range of ministries that seek to encourage women to understand, respond to, and apply the life-giving gospel of Jesus in every aspect of their lives. We all benefit as the women in our family pass on to other women their gospel convictions, and the wisdom of what it looks like to live these out as a disciple of Jesus in the 21st Century.

Kids & Youth

The gospel of Jesus is really good news not just for adults but for kids as well! Jesus welcomed children even when some people tried to keep them away, and he still welcomes them today. We long to see our Kids & Youth grow as lifelong disciples of Jesus, through faithful and engaging Bible teaching, as they take their place in the life of the church.
