Big Idea – God made marriage between one man & one woman
Genesis 2 & Ephesians 5
Outcomes
- To know that marriage is between one male and one female.
- To understand that marriage was established at creation.
- To appreciate that marriage also reflects the relationship between Christ and the church.
Implications
- Belief (Head / Heart) – Encourage the kids to hold onto the biblical truth that marriage is only between one man and one woman, and it is a good God-given gift.
- This view is contrary to society’s worldview and the laws of the land.
- Behaviour (Hands) – Encourage the kids to think about how they would treat those who experience same sex attraction or those who have friends at school with same-sex parents.
- Compassion & kindness towards people made in God’s image, without compromising the truth.
