The good news of the gospel is that God has graciously shown us hospitality through Jesus Christ.

He has invited us into his global church family and into his eternal home, and so he commands us to show hospitality to one another and to our local community.

We’re Jonathan and Julia, and we are excited about being involved in food hospitality at Dundonald Church.

There are many different roles in food hospitality, including:

Leading a kitchen team

Prepping food

Cooking

Serving and clearing

We want to encourage and support you in any of the areas you feel you can serve.

We will be hosting Food Hospitality training

Thursday 18th May from 8 – 9:30pm

This will include:

Biblical motivation

Events where food hospitality is needed

Different roles and requirements within food hospitality

Health and safety and food hygiene awareness.

Cooking with unfamiliar equipment and for large numbers in an unfamiliar space can often feel daunting, so we will be leading practical training on how to use the kitchen space and equipment well, confidently and respectfully.

We will also cover how to scale up recipes, including ‘hands on’ cooking for events.

These sessions will be in the afternoon or evening, to suit your availability.

This ministry does not require you to commit to a rota. There are many events that are just ‘one off’.

We hope you are as excited about food hospitality as we are and we encourage you to sign up to attend this first training session.
