Children & Youth
From newborn babies to young adults, there's something for everyone.
If you would like to join a group, or for more information, please get in touch through the contact us page.
A monthly group for new mums with babies up to 12 months old. We meet together to build friendships and encourage one another. The mornings include coffee and chat, a fun activity, hearing from experienced mums and, most importantly, learning what the Bible has to say about the struggles new mums face.
Our enormously popular toddler group meets 9:45-11:00am Thursdays in term time. Some parents & carers say they’re drawn by the home made cakes, others claim it is the fresh coffee. If they could speak, the toddlers might say it’s the bouncy castle, the climbing frame and the craft. The warm welcome brings people back time after time. Each week we finish with a time of singing and a short, engaging Bible story.
Junior Jivers is a structured and interactive music session (involving singing, dance, instruments and stories) for pre-schoolers and their carers. Parents and carers join in with their children, providing a great opportunity to enjoy singing and dancing together. No previous musical experience is required and everyone is welcome!
It’s a great opportunity to get to know other families in the community. Each term there is a different theme filled with new and familiar songs, fun activities and Christian teaching. After half an hour of singing we have cake and refreshments, a chance for children to play and for adults to catch up.
We meet during term times on Tuesday or Friday mornings from 10am. Cost is £50 per family per school term. Please register your interest by contacting Julie Morrow (email@example.com).
Men Behaving Dadly
A group exclusively for Dads, although one or two grandfathers have been made to feel very welcome! We usually get together on the first Saturday in each month; offering coffee and bacon rolls for the dads, and juice, biscuits and toys for the kids. Mums are only too happy to let Dads take the littles ones to Men Behaving Dadly! Any Dad is welcome to bring along their children up to and including school Year 1. We finish our time together with a short, engaging Bible story for the children.
Dangerous Club (Y4-6)
Dangerous Club, for children in school years 4-6, offers a huge chunk of action and adventure.
Held at Dundonald Church on one Friday evening a month during term time 6.30-8pm, this club is run for the community. With a high ratio of adults we can ensure that every child leaves with amazing stories and a huge smile and knowing a little more about Jesus. In the past we have offered martial arts, survival skills, the animal man, fire & food and hip hop dance. Not for the faint hearted, but definitely for the adventurous.
We meet every other Friday, generally at The Factory, from 7-9pm for an evening with mates that’s both frantic and chilled. We start with activities including Table Tennis and a Tuck Shop. We’ll play a big game together before having a chance to think about the claims of the Christian faith, and think about how those claims might affect our lives. After this we split into two streams for those of us who want to be more active or more creative. In the past we’ve made edgy crafts, filled the entire church baptism pool full of jelly, bounced around on giant inflatables, watched films, played laser tag, eaten insects and been to play 5-a-side football and adventure golf!
Because our young people are growing in their independence our socials aim to treat them as adults without losing the fun! We meet from 8-10pm every other Friday in a variety of locations. In the past these have included homes, ice-cream parlours, cinemas, crazy golf and restaurants. Generally though, we’ll play some games, have something to eat, chill, chat and look at the Bible together. These are the perfect evenings to come along to and find out what we’re all about.
