We aim to provide something for everyone; there are discussion groups for those investigating the Christian Faith as well as Bible studies for those who want to dig deeper.
In addition to the groups listed below, we run courses throughout the year on topics such as marriage, parenting & following Jesus in life’s hard times. For more information get in touch through the contact us page.
Whether you’re a sceptic, an inquirer or just want to brush up on what its all about, we run an introductory course for anyone who would like to know more about the Christian Faith.
Perhaps you’ve read something in the papers recently or seen a documentary on the TV that’s made it even harder to believe anyone could take this Christianity stuff seriously. Or a conversation has come up at work about what people believe and how relevant Christianity is in the 21st century, or maybe something has happened to you in life recently that’s provoked you to find out more about Jesus and whether the Christian faith really offers the hope it professes. Whatever your reasons for coming, you are most welcome and there’ll be plenty of opportunities to ask any questions you like.
The Bible tells us to speak the truth to one another in love so that we will grow to become the mature body of Christ. The main way we do this at Dundonald is through Bible study groups
They have been a key part of the life and health of the church over the years, strengthening our community life. We get to know God and each other better as we meet together to engage with the Bible, pray and chat. Year after year people say how much they have grown in the knowledge of God through these regular weekly groups. Because we want to love one another we put a high emphasis on membership of Bible study groups. We have a programme of midweek groups tailored to meet each other’s needs at all stages of faith. The following groups meet on a regular basis.
- Growth Groups – members of our daytime congregations meet in someone’s home. Tues, Weds & Thurs evenings at 8pm
- Knowing God Groups – members of our evening congregation meet at church on Wednesday evenings. 7:20pm for dinner; study starts at 8:00pm
- Women’s Daytime Growth Groups – meet in homes on midweek mornings. Most groups have a crèche for pre-school children.
- International Bible Study – studies for women who have English as a second language. Thursday evenings at church.
If you would like to join a group, or for more information, please get in touch through the contact us page.
Every last Friday of the month at 3pm, we hold an afternoon tea especially for the older people in our community. All senior citizens are welcome to come along to The Factory and enjoy meeting other local people over tea and cake. We also have a wide variety of guest speakers and entertainments.
We also hold a “Holiday at Home” event for senior citizens during the last week in July each year with games, quizzes, crafts, activities, talks and refreshments including lunch. The event will run for four days in 2017 from Tuesday 25th – Friday 28th July with an event of event lunch on Sunday 30th July. You can find out more here .
There is no charge for these events.
