Training

We place a high emphasis on training people in biblical ministry.  It is the teaching of the Bible that introduces people to Christ our saviour (2 Timothy 3:15) and it is through bible-teaching that the church is equipped for service (Ephesians 4:11-12).

We have the following formal training programmes;

Prepared to Serve

Prepared To Serve

This course meets weekly and is a year-long. It aims to cover key biblical doctrines whilst looking to strengthen confidence in the Bible and its teaching for the whole of life. In previous years this course has enabled and equipped participants to go deeper into Christian ministry and leadership.

Joining In

A three week introductory course to demonstrate and explain from God’s word the priorities, theology, ethos and culture of Dundonald Church. The course gives you the chance to come and ask lots of questions, to find out why we do what we do, who does what, when things happen and much more.

It’s a chance to look back at our short history and see how good God has been to us. It’s a chance to see how you might get involved in God’s work here at Dundonald.

Apprenticeship Scheme

Apprenticeship Seminar

Jesus stated that the world needs more gospel teachers (see Matthew 9:38). We’ve noticed over the past years that more and more young people want to start their theological training for gospel work in one/two year apprenticeship programmes before possible training at theological college or Bible college. In co-operation with the national 9:38 scheme Dundonald runs this year-long training course. It provides a good ‘taste‘ for local church gospel ministry. It aims to instil deep convictions of the necessity and nature of a Word ministry forged in the context of practical experience and to train men and women in the fundamental principles and skills of various gospel ministries. Each apprentice works in the church and receives counsel and help from a ‘trainer’ as well as weekly participation at the Apprentices' Workshop.

If you would like more information about the Apprenticeship Scheme please contact the church office using this email form.
